Even though the fact that internet betting is now a many billion dollar industry, and endless thousands of new players world-wide log in every day to bet at internet casinos, there are still millions of newbies to the environment of internet wagering who do not as yet have a good comprehension of a lot of the dialect used in web wagering, and gambling on athletic event in general. ACTION: Any style of wager.

BUST: You lose; As in vingt-et-un, when a gambler’s cards are valued over 21.

BUY-IN: The minimum sum of cash necessary to enter a match or event.

CALL: As in poker, when a bet is the same as a previously made bet.

CHECK: In poker, to stay in the game and not betting. This is allowed only if no other players wager in that round.

CLOSING A BET: Like in spread betting, meaning to lay a wager equal to but converse of the first bet.

COLUMN BET: To wager on any of the three columns of a roulette table.

COME BET: In craps, the same as a pass-line bet, but carried out after the player has achieved his number.

COME-OUT ROLL: A crapshooters first roll to achieve a point, or the first toss after a point is ascertained.

COVERALL: A bingo term, meaning to fill all the spots on a bingo sheet.

CRAPPING OUT: In craps, to toss a two, 3 or 12 is an automatic loss on the come-out toss.

DAILY DOUBLE: To choose the winners of the first 2 matches of the tournament.

DOWN BET: To bet that the result of an action will be lower than the lowest end of the quote on a spread bet, also referred to as a "sell".

DOZEN BET: In roulette, to bet on any of three sets of 12 numbers, one-twelve, etc.

EACH WAY BET: A sports wager, meaning to bet on a team or player to succeed or place in an event.

EVEN MONEY BET: A wager that pays out the same number as wagered, ( one to one ).

EXACTA: gambling that two horses in an event will complete the race in the absolute same assignment as the bet – also known as a " Perfecta ".

FIVE-NUMBER LINE BET: In roulette, a bet placed on a group of 5 numbers, for instance 1-2-3-0, and 00.
