There is an appealing background to the Cambodia gambling dens that reside just over the border from nearby Thailand, where casino gambling is not allowed. Eight gambling halls are based in a generally tiny space in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slot machine games and seventy gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machine games and 96 table games, including eighty seven baccarat (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five one armed bandits and sixty six of the normal gaming tables, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the eight casinos in Poipet, also a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slots and ninety seven games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an international resort and hotel complex that contains numerous amenities in addition to the gambling den, which houses ten thousand square feet of 130 one armed bandits and 88 table games.
