Cambodia Casinos

There is an appealing background to the Cambodia gambling dens that sit just over the border from neighboring Thailand, in which gambling hall gaming is not allowed. Eight gambling dens are anchored in a relatively small location in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia casinos is in a perfect destination, a three to 4 hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest wagering centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a huge business with Thai blue-collar workers and tourists from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The phenomenal income acquired from the gambling dens ranges from $7.5 million to over 12.5 million dollars, and there are a few restrictions constraints for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is presumed to be largely Thai; however, investment sources are cryptic. The borders are formally open from 0900 to 17:00, and even though visas are for all intents and purposes needed to pass, there are methods around this, as is real of many border crossings.

The 1st Cambodia gambling halls premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving only a single casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored ship gambling hall, contains 150 slots and 60 table games. The Naga casino never closes with forty two tables of mini-baccarat, 4 tables of twenty-one, ten of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The initial gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long opened. There are one hundred and fifty slots and five tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four one armed bandits and 68 tables at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 one armed bandits and 70 tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machine games and 96 table games, including 87 baccarat banque (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machine games and 66 of the familiar gaming tables, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the 8 gambling dens in Poipet, again in a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machines and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-around vacation and hotel building that features a number of amenities in addition to the gambling den, which houses 10,000 square feet of one hundred and thirty one armed bandits and 88 gaming tables.
